Biological 3D Printing
In the Victoria University's Design Led Futures program, we explored the innovative integration of 3D printing technology and biological growth. The project focused on using the Objet Connex 500 to print bio-compatible materials designed to house Paua shells in new, customized forms.
This pioneering work aimed to merge advanced manufacturing techniques with natural biological processes, creating a unique interface between technology and organic growth. The results showcased how 3D printing can contribute to new approaches in designing and nurturing biological systems.
