Antarctica Series by Fredrikson Stallard

I had the opportunity to develop a series of dining and coffee tables that push the boundaries of design and technology. This collection was inspired by the intricate forms of crystal shards, captured through detailed 3D scans. Using Rhino 3D and Grasshopper, I translated these scanned forms into parametric designs, creating a striking interplay of geometric precision and organic aesthetics.

The development process involved CNC milling to shape the acrylic components, while glass was used for the table tops, adding a sleek and contemporary finish. Designed by the renowned Ian Stallard and Patrik Fredrikson, these tables seamlessly blend their visionary concepts with cutting-edge fabrication techniques. My role was to bring these designs to life, ensuring that each piece not only adhered to the original vision but also met the highest standards of craftsmanship and functionality.
